Conference Description
Resource Description and Access (RDA) was released June 23, 2010. It was designed to replace the existing Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, 2nd Edition (AACR2).

Prior to implementation, the USA National Libraries (Library of Congress, National Library of Medicine, and the National Agriculture Library) determined to test RDA to assure the operational, technical, and economic feasibility of RDA.
